Terms of Sale & Returns Policy

Version 2026-10 · effective 14 October 2026 · Megasolve (Pty) Ltd

In short

  • Check your delivery the day it arrives. Report damage, shortages or wrong items within 2 working days, with photos.
  • Printed and made-to-order labels and tags cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
  • Stock items may be returned within 7 days only with a Return Authorisation (RA) number, unopened and in a condition we can sell again.
  • Returns that are not our fault carry a handling fee of 15% (minimum R150 excl. VAT) and you pay the return delivery.
  • Labels and ribbons are sensitive to heat, moisture and pressure. Items that were stored or handled incorrectly are not returnable.

1. Orders, prices and payment

  1. These terms apply to every order placed through the Megasolve web shop. By ticking "I accept" at checkout you agree to the version shown above.
  2. Prices are trade prices for your account and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. The price that applies is the one shown in your cart when the order is placed.
  3. Pay-now orders are processed once payment is received. Unpaid orders are cancelled automatically after 3 days. Orders on account are subject to your credit limit and payment terms.
  4. We may cancel an order with an obvious pricing or listing error; any payment received is then refunded in full.

2. Stock, made-to-order items and back-orders

  1. Labels and tags marked Made to order are produced for your order and dispatched within the lead time shown (usually 2–4 working days).
  2. If a stock item is not fully available, your cart shows the quantity on back-order and the expected lead time before you pay. Unless we agree otherwise, the order is dispatched complete once everything is in stock.
  3. Lead times are estimates. If a back-order is delayed beyond 15 working days you may cancel the outstanding items for a full refund of those items.
  4. Large quantities above the per-order maximum are quoted separately.

3. Delivery and checking your goods

  1. Risk passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes once the order is paid in full.
  2. Please inspect the parcels before signing for them. Note any visible damage on the courier's delivery note.
  3. Report damage in transit, short deliveries or wrong items within 2 working days of delivery to [email protected], with your order number and photos of the outer box, the product and the waybill. Claims reported later cannot be accepted.
  4. Where we are at fault (wrong item, short supply, transit damage reported in time) we replace or credit the goods at our cost and no handling fee applies.

4. Faulty goods

  1. Report a suspected fault within 5 working days of delivery and before using more than one roll or box of the batch. Include photos, the batch number on the roll or box sticker, a description of the fault and your printer model and settings.
  2. We may ask for a sample or the remaining stock of that batch to test. If the fault is confirmed we replace or credit the goods and refund the return delivery; no handling fee applies.
  3. A product is not faulty when the problem is caused by incorrect storage, handling or application, unsuitable printer settings, worn print heads, or using the product outside its specification (for example a standard adhesive in a blast freezer).
  4. Hardware is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Faults must be reported to us and the item returned to us for assessment in its original packaging. Damage caused by misuse, power surges, liquids or unauthorised repairs is not covered.

5. Returns of stock items (change of mind)

  1. Stock items (for example tag pins, needles, tagging guns and ribbons) may be returned within 7 days of delivery if:
    • you obtained a Return Authorisation (RA) number from us before sending anything back,
    • the goods are unused, unopened, in their original sealed packaging and in a condition we can sell again, and
    • they are packed so that they arrive undamaged, with the RA number on the outside.
  2. You pay the return delivery. A handling fee of 15% of the returned value (minimum R150 excl. VAT) is deducted from the credit or refund.
  3. We inspect every return when it arrives. If items are not in a condition we can sell again, we do not issue a credit for them; you may collect them or have them returned at your cost within 30 days, after which they are disposed of.

6. What cannot be returned

  • Printed, custom-made or made-to-order labels and tags, including standard labels produced for your order (unless faulty or supplied in error).
  • Labels, tags and ribbons removed from their protective packaging, rolls with labels removed, cut or partly used rolls, and items with crushed cores or edges.
  • Items stored or handled incorrectly, for example exposed to heat above 25 °C, direct sunlight, moisture or condensation, or stacked under weight.
  • Hardware that has been installed or used, unless it is faulty.
  • Anything returned without an RA number, after the time limits above, or damaged in return transit because of poor packaging.

7. Storing and handling labels and ribbons

Our labels, tags and ribbons perform as specified when they are kept in their original packaging at 15–25 °C and 40–60% relative humidity, out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources and chemicals, and used within 12 months of delivery. Freezer-grade adhesives must be applied to the carton before it is frozen. Ask us if you are unsure which product suits your application.

8. Credits and refunds

  1. Approved credits are passed to your account, or refunded to the original payment method for pay-now orders, within 10 working days of approval.
  2. Original delivery charges are refunded only when the return is due to our error or a confirmed fault.

9. Liability and general

  1. Our liability for any order is limited to replacing the goods or refunding the price paid for them. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost production, rework or relabelling costs, except where the law does not allow this to be excluded.
  2. If you buy as a consumer, these terms do not limit any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
  3. We may update these terms. The version accepted at checkout applies to that order.
  4. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
